This is just for the resort. The spa was amazing. The whole place needs so much updating. It did not feel like a nice resort. We had a cabana which was nice by the pool. The swim shop staff were great. The food at the poolside bar was really bad. None of us liked our meal. The other thing that was weird was that you needed to pay for everything separately. We had to pay for our drinks at one place, food at another, and the cabana stuff at another. At a resort, I would think it all was coordinated. It made it just less like a resort and more like an average hotel.

This place has gone downhill. It is a classic case of what happens when you cut back on to maintenance to save a few bucks. It was falling apart and is no longer a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ resort. The main hall was about 90° and steamy upon arrival, there was mold everywhere, the roof leaked, wallpaper was ripped and put back up with thumb tacks, the candy they put on the tables was wet and stuck together, we went through 10 keycards before they would send matainance out to let us in our room and he tried to say if was our fault, "You had to have put it next to your phone," when we never put them anywhere near our phones for the THREE trips we had to make back to the front office in the shuttle with ALL of our luggage. When we did get to the room the bellman literally had to kick the door open because it was swollen shut. The absolute worst thing is their restaurant tried to serve me chicken while claiming it was a soy based vegetarian dish. I may not eat meat now, but I was a chef for 7.5 years, have eaten every kind of animal you can think of. I know what meat taste like! I was so excited when I found out our conference would be here but was completely let down by this experience. They have done so well for us in the past but I do not know what happened to the place.

We had such a wonderful time at Saddlebrook Golf Resort. We spent 5 days here and could definitely spend 5 more. The staff members were wonderful, both courses were challenging, and the grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed the pool, the nature, and had an amazing dinner at Dempsey’s Steakhouse. We will be back in the near future.

Beautiful. The grounds are wonderful and well maintained. The staff is courteous, welcoming and helpful. I stayed in 3104 which was just right; though, it could have had more creature comforts (Wifi wasn’t working, TV wasn’t modern - not smart, hooked up to old cable box, lacking image quality). I didn’t drop a star given the exceptional quality of everything else. I recommend stopping by the front desk and picking up a walk/jog map. I took the 5.5 mile route for a morning run, and it was lovely.

Lovely place to stay! We have been going to Saddlebrook for a few years now. Yes, some villas are aging but they are renovating from the Tommy Bahama decor. Our place has always been clean. Kitchen, nicely laid out with coffee daily. The grounds, pools (there are three) and spa are wonderful. 2 golf courses are really nice. I love the food! Dempsey’s or the grill both are very accommodating. The pool has great big towels too. Will be back soon.
